Sudan – Attack on a humanitarian convey and death of 5 humanitarian workers (5 June 2025)

France utterly condemns the June 2nd attack on a World Food Programme (WFP) and UNICEF convey near Al Koma in North Darfur.

We offer our condolences to the victims’ loved ones. We reaffirm our support for the WFP and UNICEF, and for the entire UN humanitarian community, which works in difficult conditions each day in Sudan.

France urges the parties to comply with their obligations under international humanitarian law and to guarantee full, safe and unhindered access. Humanitarian workers and vehicles must not be targeted in any circumstances.

France once again calls on the parties to end the fighting that has gone on for more than two years in Sudan.
