Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State for Tourism, French Nationals Abroad and Francophonie, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, met today with Angeles Moreno Bau, Spain’s State Secretary for International Cooperation.

They discussed the prospects for French-Spanish cooperation in the tourism sector, whose revival is a priority. They also expressed their hope that cultural events scheduled for 2023 marking the 50th anniversary of the death of Pablo Picasso could give rise to the joint organization of tourist itineraries linking sites in France and Spain that were important to the artist. They addressed our commitment and common actions in the Sahel and the preparation of the next N’Djamena summit on February 15-16.

Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne and Angeles. Moreno Bau also discussed ways to encourage a solidarity-based global response to the Covid-19 pandemic, especially through the COVAX Facility, whose goal is to ensure the fair distribution of vaccines against Covid-19.
