Mme Nathalie Loiseau, Minister for European Affairs, is visiting the Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia on 4 and 5 September.
This year the discussion and dialogue forum brings together more than 1,000 participants, political and economic leaders and members of civil society. As on previous occasions, political, economic, tourism and youth-related issues will be discussed at the forum, whose central theme in 2017 is “the new realities”.
At the forum, the Minister will take part in a round table devoted to the European Union’s future in a changing world. During her visit, Mme Loiseau will also meet many European figures, in particular the President of Slovenia, Mr Borut Pahor, and ministers from the Western Balkans countries.
The European Affairs Minister’s participation in the Bled Strategic Forum is part of the dynamic of our bilateral relations with Slovenia, strengthened by the signature in 2015 of the strategic partnership action plan. It emphasizes France’s commitment to South-East Europe, a year after the Paris summit on the Balkans in July 2016 and following the French President’s participation in the Trieste summit on 12 July 2017.
