Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will visit Bratislava on October 8.
He will take part in the Globsec 2020 international forum, organized by the think tank Globsec and the Slovakian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and will speak at a roundtable on “The EU’s global leadership in the post-Covid era.” He will underscore the ambitions the EU should set itself in order to defend its humanist model, and the need for it to affirm its principles and values in the face of other powers and to consolidate its sovereignty. You can listen to his speech live at: https://www.globsec.org/projects/globsec-2020-bratislava-forum/ and on the Ministry’s social networks.

Jean-Yves Le Drian will meet with his Slovakian counterpart, Ivan Korcok. In the context of our dynamic bilateral relations, their discussions will focus on key current European and international issues, on which our countries cooperate within the European forums, notably the situations in Belarus and in the eastern Mediterranean.
The minister will also meet with the ministers of foreign affairs of the Visegrad Group (Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic) to discuss key European and international issues.
