Slovakia – Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe – Meeting between M. Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne and his Slovakian counterpart (Paris, 18 February 2019)
M. Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, received his Slovakian counterpart, Mr Lukáš Parízek, today for a meeting devoted to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), of which Slovakia holds the chairmanship this year.
The Minister of State signalled our commitment to the OSCE as an essential instrument for multilateralism which serves European security.
He recalled that the reform of the OSCE’s scale of contributions, which the Slovakian chairmanship is promoting, is necessary for the organization’s credibility. This reform must ensure that the OSCE is funded fairly and that every participating state takes ownership of its activities.
