Slovakia–Meeting between Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne and the State Secretary for Tourism (Paris, 12 October 2021)

Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State for Tourism, French Nationals Abroad and Francophonie, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, met on October 12 with Katarína Bruncková, State Secretary of the Slovak Ministry of Transport and Construction in charge of construction, housing policy, tourism, aviation and water transport.

They examined ways to strengthen ties between our two countries, preparations for the winter tourist season, the promotion of our respective destinations and support for new tourism practices. They signed a cooperation agreement on tourism that provides for an exchange of experiences and best practices on tourism consultancy, ecotourism, cultural tourism, culinary tourism and tourism-related innovations.

Looking ahead to the French EU Council presidency, Mr. Lemoyne and Ms. Bruncková discussed strategies to revive tourism with the return of mobility following the pandemic, as well as strengthening cooperation among European states in this area.
