Meeting between Amélie de Montchalin and Jadranka Joksimovic, Minister for European Integration of the Republic of Serbia (Paris, 3 March 2020)

Amélie de Montchalin, Minister of State for European Affairs, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will receive Jadranka Joksimovic, Serbia’s Minister for European Integration, on March 3.

The meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations, which were given new impetus by President Macron’s visit to Belgrade on July 15 and 16, 2019. The two ministers will also discuss the negotiations on Serbia’s accession to the EU in the context of discussions at the Council of the European Union on the reform of the accession process in order to make it more credible, appealing and reversible.

France supports the strategic decision made by Serbia to join the European Union and stands alongside it while continuing to support its efforts to implement the necessary reforms, especially with respect to the rule of law, which is at the heart of the European project.
