In the context of the Serbian prime minister’s visit to France, Harlem Désir, Minister of State for European Affairs and Matthias Fekl, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Abroad, met with members of the Serbian government today.
This morning, Harlem Désir, together with Jadranka Joksimovic, Minister responsible for European Integration, took stock of Serbia’s European integration process following the opening of two new negotiating chapters on July 18, and French assistance with respect to adopting the EU aquis.
They discussed cooperation between the Western Balkan countries and the implementation of the conclusions of the Paris Balkans 2016 summit in July. They also signed an intergovernmental agreement on the employment of the spouses of public officials. A cooperation agreement was also signed in the area of oncology between French and Serbian academic institutions.
This afternoon, Matthias Fekl with Goran Knezevic, Minister of Economy, to discuss the major bilateral projects, especially in the areas of transport and urban services and infrastructure. Goran Knezevic will sign an agreement on the continuation of cooperation in the area of private-public partnerships with the CEO of Expertise France.
