Agreement between Serbia and Kosovo (1 October 2021)

Serbia and Kosovo announced that they have agreed to a provisional settlement of one of their bilateral disputes.

We welcome that announcement and thank the EU special representative, Miroslav Lajčak, for his mediation effort.

We call on Belgrade and Pristina to continue their discussions constructively and in a spirit of compromise to reach a comprehensive settlement of their dispute on the basis of agreements already concluded with European facilitation. It is important to avoid any unilateral action that could undermine the dialogue between the two countries.
