Senegal – Road Accident in Kaffrine (8 January 2023)

France was deeply saddened to learn of the tragic road accident which occurred today near Kaffrine in Senegal, causing many deaths and very many injuries.

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs expressed to her Senegalese counterpart, Ms Aïssata Tall Sall, our country’s sincere condolences and heartfelt thoughts for all the victims and bereaved families. We wish the injured a speedy recovery.

France stands by Senegal at this difficult time.
