Q: What is your response to the verdict handed down yesterday by the Saudi court in the Khashoggi case?

A: We have followed the court proceedings in Saudi Arabia closely.

We have always called for the facts to be clearly established concerning this extremely serious crime, for all necessary investigations to be completed and for those responsible for the crime to be tried.

We recall our opposition to the death penalty in all places and in all circumstances.
