Saudi Arabia - Air attack on Riyadh (26 January 2021)

France strongly condemns the latest air attack on Riyadh on January 26. Coming after similar attacks on January 23 and once again deliberately targeting residential areas in violation of international law, this attack illustrates the seriousness of the threat that the proliferation of missiles and drones poses to the entire region and the need to deal with this threat, starting by identifying the perpetrators.

France reaffirms its total solidarity with Saudi Arabia, which it marked in September 2019 by making air defense assets available to that country. As we and our German and British partners noted on January 25, we reiterate our strong commitment to the security and integrity of Saudi territory.
