Q : Can you confirm reports by the German media stating that Germany and France oppose new economic sanctions on Moscow following the tensions in the Kerch Strait?

A : The Minister spoke yesterday about the incidents in the Kerch Strait at a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart. He called on the parties to work toward easing the situation and to engage in a de-escalation process. That requires the Russian authorities to release the prisoners and return the boats.
