R: France learned with concern of the announcement of long-range cruise missile tests conducted by North Korea on September 11 and 12.

These activities reflect the fact that North Korea is continuing to produce weapons of mass destruction and their delivery systems, which directly threaten regional and international stability and security.

France urgently calls on North Korea to accept the proposals for dialogue formulated by the United States and South Korea, to engage in a good-faith process of dismantling its WMD programs in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions, and to refrain from any actions liable to increase tensions in the region.
