North Korea – Missile launches (Oct. 6, 2022)

France condemns in the strongest possible terms the two ballistic missile tests carried out by North Korea on October 6.

France remains concerned by the recent series of ballistic missile tests by North Korea, which constitute repeated violations of UN Security Council resolutions and are a threat to regional stability and international security.

France continues to urge North Korea to immediately comply with its obligations and to undertake a process leading to its complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization. We and our partners will remain wholly committed to ensuring the full implementation of UN Security Council resolutions and call on North Korea to accept the offers of dialogue from regional stakeholders and return to the negotiating table.
