North Korea – Missile launch (10 May 2022)

France condemns in the strongest possible terms North Korea’s launch of a submarine-fired ballistic missile on May 7 and deplores the worrying rise in North Korean missile launches since the beginning of the year.

This 15th ballistic missile launch since the beginning of the year constitutes another violation of UN Security Council resolutions.

France once again urges North Korea to immediately comply with its obligations and return to the negotiating table to engage in a process of complete, verifiable, irreversible denuclearization. Along with our partners, we will remain fully committed to ensuring the full implementation of UN Security Council resolutions.
