On May 9, North Korea once again launched ballistic missiles, after doing so on May 4.
France condemns these launches, which undermine regional and international security and stability. It calls on North Korea to comply with Security Council resolutions demanding that it refrain from any provocation and any missile launches involving ballistic technology, and to cease all activities linked to a ballistic missile program.
France calls on North Korea to promptly resume its dialogue with the United States on denuclearization and to swiftly begin the process of a complete, verifiable and irreversible dismantlement of its WMD and ballistic missile programs of all ranges, and associated programs. This is essential for establishing lasting peace in the region.
