Attack against humanitarian workers in Niger – Meeting with the victims’ families (11 Aug. 2020)
A meeting coordinated by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs’ Crisis and Support Center, in coordination with the Interministerial Delegation for Victim Support, was held yesterday at the Quai d’Orsay with the families and loved ones of the French victims of the attack against humanitarian workers with the NGOs ACTED and Impact Initiatives in Niger on August 9. The leaders of the NGOs were also present.
The purpose of this meeting was to provide the victims’ families with information about the mobilization of the government and its partners alongside them and to present the support measures to them. It provided an opportunity for the families to put their questions to the representatives of the authorities, agencies and associations involved, in particular to the representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the National Counterterrorism Prosecutor’s Office, French investigators and associations providing support to victims and victims of terrorism.
