Matthias Fekl, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Abroad, met with Todd McClay, Minister for International Economic Affairs of New Zealand, on November 25.
He reaffirmed France’s solidarity, 11 days after the earthquake that struck the region of Kaikoura (South Island).
Matthias Fekl underscored the dynamic trade relations between France and New Zealand, notably in the aerospace, urban transport and agri-food sectors.
He urged New Zealand firms to increase their presence in France. Around 30 French firms operate in New Zealand.
