Jean-Marc Ayrault, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, visited the Netherlands on November 21.
In Rotterdam, he took stock, together with his Dutch counterpart, of key European and international issues as well as our bilateral cooperation.
They jointly addressed the second French-Dutch seminar on European issues, focusing on “European integration: unity in effectiveness.” They also addressed students at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
He traveled to The Hague, in order to meet with the Committees on Foreign Affairs, Defense and European Affairs of the Lower Chamber, as well as with Director-General of the International Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Ahmet Uzumcu, and Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Fatou Bensouda.
Lastly, hel bestowed upon Ton Elias, Chairman of the France-Netherlands Friendship Group, the insignia of Chevalier of the Legion of Honor.
