Mozambique – Attacks in the northern part of the country (23 and 25 March 2020)

France utterly condemns the attacks that took place in the towns of Mocimboa da Praia on March 23 and Quissanga on March 25 in northern Mozambique.

It expresses its support for the Mozambican authorities, as well as the populations affected by terrorism. It calls for efforts to ensure the safety of the humanitarian actors working in the region to provide assistance to the most vulnerable populations.

France reaffirms its determination to contribute to the country’s efforts to promote peace and development.
