Q : The “La République en Marche (LREM)” party has announced the opening of a local office in Dakhla in Western Sahara. Is such an initiative compatible with the status of this territory?

A : France’s position on this issue is well known. France supports the UN Secretary-General’s efforts in support of a just, lasting and mutually acceptable political solution, in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.
