Morocco - Visit by Jean-Yves Le Drian to Rabat (8-9 November 2020)
Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will meet with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco, in order to discuss the strengthening of bilateral cooperation, including with respect to the fight against illegal immigration and regional and international issues.
During this trip, Jean-Yves Le Drian will visit the Mohammed VI Institute created by His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco in 2015. The minister will continue the efforts initiated by President Macron to enhance awareness and ease tensions.
The minister will then visit the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, where he will sign an agreement to provide support from the French Development Agency for Morocco’s National Museum Federation.
Lastly, Jean-Yves Le Drian will visit the Lycée Descartes, where an exchange of views, via video conference, will take place with the principals of the 44 French schools in Morocco, which, with 44,000 students, form the second largest French education network in the world.
