Mali – Terrorist attack (25 January 2018)

France condemns the terrorist attack carried out on January 25 near Boni (central Mali). A landmine exploded as a bus passed by killing 26 Malian and Burkina Faso civilians, including women and children.

We extend our condolences to the victims’ families and assure the Malian and Burkina Faso authorities of our wholehearted solidarity.

France, alongside its partners, remains determined to combat the threat of terrorism in Mali, especially in this area where the G5 Sahel Joint Force, supported by France, is currently being deployed.
