Mali – Attack against MINUSMA (10 May 2020)

France utterly condemns the attack against the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) in Aguelhok in the Kidal region in northern Mali on May 10, which killed three Chadian peacekeepers and injured several others within the mission.

France extends its condolences to the families of the soldiers who died as well as to the Chadian authorities. It wishes the injured peacekeepers a speedy recovery.

France reaffirms its support for the authorities of the Sahel countries in their fight against terrorism as well as for MINUSMA, which plays a key role in Mali’s stabilization.

The perpetrators of this attack must be identified and brought to justice.
