A : We were informed on Sunday, August 4, of the disappearance of a French national in Malaysia, approximately 70 km from Kuala Lumpur, during the previous night. The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs’ Crisis and Support Center, as well as the French Embassy and Consulate in Kuala Lumpur, took immediate steps to assist her family at the scene.

The ambassador in Kuala Lumpur contacted the Malaysian authorities and the police, who have mobilized a significant number of personnel in order to search for her. The French consul traveled to the area to lend her support to the family and coordinate with the local authorities.

We remain committed to doing everything possible to help find our compatriot.
