Libya – First meeting of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum’s Advisory Committee (13 January 2021)

France welcomes the first meeting of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum’s Advisory Committee on January 13 in Geneva, under the auspices of the UN. It hopes that tangible progress will be made toward the selection of an interim executive authority tasked with organizing the elections scheduled for December 24.

France reiterates its support for a political solution in Libya allowing the country to restore its sovereignty and stability and end foreign interference. It calls on all Libyan stakeholders to engage constructively in the political process carried out under the auspices of the UN by supporting a political transition.
