Libya – Conversation between the minister for Europe and foreign affairs and Interior Minister of the Government of National Accord of Libya Fathi Bashagha (19 November 2020)

Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will speak today with Fathi Bashagha, Interior Minister of the Government of National Accord of Libya, as part of France’s regular contacts with all Libyan stakeholders.

The minister will express France’s support for the political process under UN auspices, notably the continuation of inter-Libyan dialogue and the full implementation of the ceasefire signed by the Libyan parties, which provides for the departure of foreign forces and mercenaries.
