Q : What were the French investigators’ conclusions about the explosion in the port of Beirut, and has France already presented this report to the Lebanese authorities?

R : France fully contributed to the international investigation that should help provide the Lebanese with the truth on the origins of the explosion. This cooperation was illustrated by the participation of French experts in the investigation, beginning just days after the explosion, and by regular conversations between relevant agencies.

It is up to the Lebanese authorities to ensure that this investigation is completed swiftly and is able to shed light on what happened on August 4, as the Lebanese people legitimately expect.
