Franck Riester, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will speak with Shinji Inoue, Japan’s Minister in charge of the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, on April 22.

Franck Riester and Shinji Inoue will discuss France’s participation in the Expo, which was recently confirmed by the prime minister. The meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the issues highlighted by the event, which has been conceived with a view toward supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, as well as the timetable for preparing for the event.

The 2025 World Expo in Osaka, Kansai, was approved by the International Exhibitions Bureau on December 1, 2020. The country will therefore host its 3rd world expo from April 13 to October 13, 2025. The expo’s theme will be “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.”
