Japan – Meeting between Matthias Fekl and Yoji Muto, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan (November 18, 2015)

Matthias Fekl, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Abroad, received his Japanese counterpart Yoji Muto, State Minister for Foreign Affairs today at the Quai d’Orsay.

They discussed the economic partnership agreement under negotiation between the EU and Japan and worked on strengthening bilateral economic relations between our two countries, notably in the area of new technologies, which is the focus of the French-Japanese Innovation Year launched in October.

France is the second largest recipient of Japanese job-creating investment in Europe (18% in total), notably in the automotive, electronics and food processing sectors.
