Israel/Palestinian Territories - Situation in the West Bank (29 November 2022)

France expresses its deep concern in the aftermath of the numerous clashes that have occurred since November 29 in different parts of the West Bank, leaving five Palestinians dead.

France once again calls on all stakeholders to refrain from engaging in any provocative or unilateral actions. The growing violence against Palestinians in the West Bank must stop and those responsible must be held accountable for their actions by the relevant authorities.

France reaffirms its commitment to the respect of international humanitarian law in the territories under Israeli occupation and the illegal nature of the settlements.
