Israel/ Palestinian Territories – Demolitions and confiscations in Khirbet Humsa (9 July 2021)

France condemns the demolition and confiscation on July 7 of humanitarian structures and equipment in the Palestinian village of Khirbet Humsa in the West Bank. Several of the structures demolished in this village since November 2020 had received European funding, notably including French funding.

France reaffirms that these demolitions are contrary to international humanitarian law as well as to UN Security Council resolutions.

France calls on the Israeli authorities to allow humanitarian access throughout the Palestinian Territories, including in Area C of the West Bank.
