Palestinian Territories – Death of Saeb Erekat (10 November 2020)

France was saddened to learn of the death of Saeb Erekat, Secretary General of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). A historic figure in the negotiations with Israel to achieve a just and lasting peace and a tireless proponent of the Palestinian cause, he embodied the hope for a negotiated settlement with a view toward the establishment of two states living in peace and security, within secure and recognized borders.

France extends its heartfelt condolences to the Palestinian people and to the president of the Palestinian Authority.
