Mme Nathalie Loiseau is paying a visit to Ireland on 19 and 20 February at the invitation of Ms Helen McEntee, Ireland’s Minister for European Affairs, with whom she will have talks. Mme Loiseau will participate in a Citizens’ Dialogue at Maynooth University on the Future of Europe.

She will recall how closely France is following Ireland’s specific situation in the context of the British withdrawal from the European Union.

The ministers will give priority to discussing the future of the European Union and institutional reforms, and the establishment of citizens’ consultations, which the Irish government initiated in November 2017. They will also discuss the forthcoming negotiations on the future multiannual financial framework, Europe’s Digital Agenda, asylum and migration issues and European trade policy.
