Iran - Statement by the Ministry Spokesperson (7 July 2019)

France is deeply concerned by Iran’s announcement that it has begun producing enriched uranium over the 3.67% limit set by the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

We are awaiting confirmation of this announcement by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

We strongly demand that Iran end all activities that are not in compliance with its commitments under the JCPOA.

France is in close contact with concerned partners to initiate the necessary de-escalation of tensions related to the Iranian nuclear issue.
