Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, Minister of State for Development, Francophonie and International Partnerships, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, is visiting Indonesia from September 7 to 9.

She met today with ASEAN Secretary-General Dato Lim Jock Hoi to discuss the ASEAN-France Development Partnership launched in March 2021. She reiterated France’s wish to see this plan implemented for the 2022-2026 period and to step up our cooperation, especially with regard to protecting health and the environment.
In line with President Macron’s speech to France’s ambassadors, the Minister of State reaffirmed France’s commitment to its Indo-Pacific partners, with whom we are striving to preserve an order based on the rule of law and multilateralism. She is also attending meetings of the G20 development ministers. These meetings represent an opportunity to encourage G20 members to boost their support for their most vulnerable partners who are suffering from the repercussions of Russia’s war in Ukraine, to ensure global food and energy security, to increase financing for development, and to maintain a common sovereignty agenda, particularly in the area of health.

She will meet with her Indonesian, Japanese, Senegalese and German counterparts on the sidelines of the G20. The Minister of State will also visit the Life Project 4 Youth training and development center.
