During this visit, the minister will be received by the Ghanaian president in order to discuss the results of his visit to France in 2019, the prospects for strengthening our bilateral relations, notably in the economic, security, development and la Francophonie spheres, as well as regional issues in the context of Ghana’s chairmanship of ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States). They will also jointly inaugurate the new Embassy of France in Accra on January 8.

The minister will then visit Burkina Faso, where he will meet with newly elected President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, in order to discuss issues relating to the fight against terrorism, in the context of the follow-up to the summits in Pau and Nouakchott and the Coalition for the Sahel, and our very strong bilateral cooperation, notably in the area of economic and social development.
