Dominica – French humanitarian and consular assistance (9 October 2017)

Following the major weather events that affected the Caribbean, France delivered 10 tons of humanitarian cargo to Dominica this weekend.

A mission led by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs crisis and support center arrived in the area in order also to make contact with our compatriots, especially those who are most isolated.

The French team, which was integrated into the committee established to coordinate international assistance and which was in contact with the Dominican authorities, received the support of our embassy in St. Lucia and the government services in Martinique and Guadeloupe.

In the wake of the destruction wrought by Hurricane Maria, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs remains committed to helping French citizens and the people of Dominica.
