Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian will host his Danish counterpart, Jeppe Kofod, on October 2.
The two ministers will review the major European and foreign policy issues on which our two countries work closely together. They will discuss regional crises and external operations, especially in Africa, where Denmark is engaged in the Sahel, particularly development and the fight against terrorism. The minister and his interlocutor will address the international meeting on humanitarian assistance to the Sahel, which will be held in Copenhagen on October 20. They will also discuss several European issues, such as the digital sector, new technologies, and the ecological and energy transitions.
Franck Riester, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness, and Clément Beaune, Minister of State for European Affairs, both attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will also meet with Jeppe Kofod.
