Laurent Fabius visited Greenland from March 23 to 24, at the invitation of his Danish counterpart, Martin Lidegaard, and the local authorities. This island is a symbolic site in the fight against climate disruption, the consequences of which are especially visible in the Arctic.
In the run-up to the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, Laurent Fabius notably worked on strengthening our cooperation with Denmark with respect to the fight against climate disruption and took stock of the French presence in the Arctic. He discussed key international issues with his counterpart.
The minister of foreign affairs and international development made a stop in Copenhagen, where he met with Rasmus Helveg Petersen, Danish Minister of Climate, as well as with political and economic leaders and scientists.
