Democratic Republic of the Congo – France condemns the bomb attack in a church in Kasindi (15 January 2023)

France condemns in the strongest terms the bomb attack perpetrated yesterday in a church in Kasindi, North Kivu. The attack, for which Daesh claimed responsibility and which is attributed to its affiliated group, the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), killed at least 10 people and wounded many others.

France extends its condolences to the bereaved and wished those wounded a speedy recovery. It expresses its full solidarity with the Congolese people at this difficult time.

We remain mobilized in support of the authorities in the DRC and the other countries in the region to combat the terrorist threat, particularly from the group ADF, affiliated to Daesh.
