Democratic Republic of the Congo – France condemns the attacks on MONUSCO (27 Jul. 2022)

We condemn the attacks on the United Nations Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) and the violence that occurred during the protests of the past few days in the eastern DRC. We call for a return to calm.

We express our support for MONUSCO and its personnel as it fulfils its mandate. We also offer our condolences to all the victims’ loved ones.

All those responsible for the attacks must be held accountable and investigations must be carried out to determine the causes of death.
