Democratic Republic of the Congo – Attacks on civilians (September 11, 2025)
France condemns in the strongest possible terms the two deadly attacks carried out on September 9 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo by the Daesh-affiliated terrorist group Allied Democratic Forces (ADF/ISCAP). The first attack took place in Ntoyo, in Lubero Territory, and killed at least 71 civilians. The second killed 18 civilians in Beni Territory.
France sends its condolences to the grieving families and the Congolese people. It stands with the Congolese authorities. It calls for the return of peace and security to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Great Lakes region.
