Following the “Croatie, la voici” event in France in 2012, Croatia will in return host a festival devoted to France from May to September 2015, with the support of our embassy and the Institut français.
This festival, entitled “Rendez-vous,” will showcase French culture and art of living through more than 150 events throughout the country, in areas as diverse as artistic creativity, digital arts, design, fashion, gastronomy, sport, higher education and research, tourism and the economy.
The start of the event will be marked by the inauguration tomorrow by Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic of a major exhibition on Rodin, to be staged in Zagreb and Split by the Rodin Museum and the Mestrovic Museum from May to September. Another highlight includes three special performances of Claude Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande from the recent Opéra-Comique production scheduled to take place from May 12 to 14 at the National Theater in Zagreb. The festival will come to a close at the beginning of October with a European forum on climate disruption, in the run-up to COP21, chaired by Mr. Laurent Fabius.
