Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State attached to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, is meeting today with Rodolfo Piza Rocafort, Minister of the Presidency of Costa Rica.
The two ministers will discuss the fight against climate disruption and environmental protection, two issues on which France and Costa Rica maintain very close cooperation. They will notably discuss the negotiation process underway within the United Nations on establishing a Global Pact for the Environment.
They will also take stock of our bilateral cooperation, notably with respect to academic exchanges, in the scientific field through the cooperation project between the Pasteur Institute and Costa Rica’s Tropical Diseases Research Center, as well as in the economic sphere.
This meeting will also provide an opportunity for an exchange of views on regional issues, notably the situation in Venezuela.
