Colombia – Death of a French national (4 December 2019)

Q: What is known about the murder of a Thales employee on the streets of Bogotá? Who was he? Is France involved in the investigation?

A: We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of one of our fellow citizens in Bogotá the day before yesterday in circumstances that remain murky. We offer our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs is in touch with someone close to the family and with the victim’s employer. The Embassy is working with local authorities and local representatives of the employer.
