Q - The minister was due to represent President Macron during the leaders’ session at the Belt and Road Forum but he did not attend. Why did he leave the forum early?

R - The minister, who was representing President Macron, was one of the first foreign officials to speak at the Belt and Road Forum.

He met with his Chinese counterpart as well as with all of the interlocutors he was due to meet.
