Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard will conduct an official visit to France from March 2 to 6, 2015. He will be received today by President Hollande.
Mr. Philippe Couillard will meet with the prime minister on March 6 for the 18th session of the rotating meetings between the Quebec Premier and the French Prime Minister.
This visit will include working meetings between the Quebec ministers accompanying Mr. Couillard and their French counterparts. The Quebec Premier and the French Prime Minister will sign several agreements and joint statements, notably in the areas of student mobility, maritime strategy and cooperation relating to the development of Northern Quebec.
This event, which takes place every two years, was initiated in 1977 and reflects the direct and privileged relationship that France enjoys with Quebec.
