Minister of State attached to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne will be in Cameroon on June 28 and 29, a country with which we have a longstanding, especially close and diversified partnership in every area.

In Yaoundé, he will meet with the President of Cameroon, Paul Biya, with whom he will discuss the current situation in Cameroon, particularly in the English-speaking areas, economic relations and cooperation between France and Cameroon, and regional security challenges, specifically the fight against Boko Haram and the situation in the Central African Republic.

Mr. Lemoyne will visit the National Museum of Cameroon as part of a cultural cooperation project between our two countries, and he will have a meeting at the Institut Français de Yaoundé with students and young business creators, before meeting with French nationals living in Cameroon.

The minister will then travel to southwestern Cameroon. He will meet with local authorities and civil society representatives, and will pay a visit to the Institut Africain d’Etudes Mathématiques, an excellent institution that educates students from all over the continent. Lastly, Mr. Lemoyne will meet with representatives of the French business community in Douala.
